There is a lot of truth in your saying Dr M. However, it does not take a genius to see that you are indeed bias towards Israel and the West. I am American of Malaysian parentage and do see the injustice of the Zion regime towards Palestine. Not all Americans support the Zionist regime and not all Israelis are Zionists too. By you speaking out against Jews is truely anti Semitic.
There are a lot of peace loving Jews that do want peace in the holy land and live peacefully besides the Palestinians. However, the hawks on both sides are winning the battle against peace. With you speaking out against Jews gives them more cannon fodder to play up the hatred. Zionist will say that the Palestinians have support for unfriendly foreign govt. leaders like you and must battle them. Hamas will play it up that they can continue war against Israel as they have the support of you.
This is all the wrong way to approach things. Why do I not see the Arab countries get together as a united front to pressure the West through economical sanctions (oil)or negotiations to get what the Palestinians want. Is it that these Arab brother countries are so corrupted or doesn’t care about the Palestinians enough? You tell me. The average Moslem will complain about the treatment of the Palestinians by Israel but do nothing and go back to daily living.
The battle is not with Israel or the West. It is within your own Islamic household countries who do not know how to play tough negotiating politics like Israel (US lobbying) except though the sword and whining all the time. Israel spend billions on lobbying the US and Western countries to their favor. Rich islamic countries spend billions on their own indulgence.
So please stop calling the pot from calling the kettle black. Start pushing the Arab countries that you have more influence on to unite and do something for Palestine instead of whining about Isreal all the time. Get your onw household in order first. The Zioinist have, have you?
While, I do NOT agree on
1) The idea for the Arabs to lobby US to outthrow Israel to defend the Palestinians (simply because the Arabs should have a sounder mind that they are of the same aqidah with the Palestinians, whose bond is stronger than any other! They should fight Israel with the Palestinians hand in hand.)
2) the bias part and
3) the hawks and what nots,
I DO agree on the statement where he says:
1) The battle is within the islamic household (I believe and prefer the word ‘human resource’ – one that relates to Iman instead of tough politics)
2) Rich islamic countries spend billions (or 11 million dollars’ worth of Christmas tree) on their own (guest hotels) indulgence.
3) That ‘the average Moslem will complain about the treatment of the Palestinians by Israel but do nothing and go back to daily living’.
Ever heard of this? The Prophet SAW cited:
“The People will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their food.”
Someone asked, “Will that be because of our small numbers at that time?”
He replied, “No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be froth and scum like that carried down by a torrent (of water), and Allah will take the fear of you from the breasts (hearts) of your enemy and cast al-wahn into your hearts.”
Someone asked, “O Messenger of Allah, what is al-wahn?”
He replied, “Love of the world and dislike of death.”
[Abu Daud & Ahmad]
I think it is shameful that there are 1.28 billion of Muslims around the world; Sadly, most of us are like what the Prophet described we are. Many. Billions! But we are like froth (buih). When the water sweep sideways, we move sideways and when the water sweep to the other we move with the wave and the froth will eventually disappear; our existence meant nothing. And our love for this dunya is mounting day by day!
I think it is shameful that we Muslims can’t spare our stomachs/needs to boycott companies who give financial aid to Israel when we know that paralysing the enemy’s economy is one of the way to help our brothers and sisters. We hate the zionists, but we love our stomachs more!
I think it is shameful that we Muslims continue to want to live like the West – indulging in a world filled with absurd, demeaning and disgusting hedonism and materialism, when we know that it is wrong, all the while reasoning it is better than doing drugs. (I believe they are both the same. They make you addicted either way. So addicted that one will kill you and the other makes you kill to get it!)
I think it is shameful that Muslims need to compromise our values/ideas just to fit in with the world, whom the one in control of, is terrorising our brothers and sisters.
And even more shameful is that we know what is going on, we emphatise, we make du’a (saying it is the LEAST we can do) and at the end of the day say that we leave our effort to Allah SWT, THEN continue living our life like everyone else – play, study, graduate, work, pension, repent, die. (Some do not get the time to repent.)
It is shameful because I do not believe Rasullullah SWT nor the sahabats ever lived their life like that. While they strive hard for Jannah, (and we sometimes do think about it too or at least is at the back of our minds behind houses, cars, money and wife), our efforts never match theirs.
How you say to not be like that of froth and be more like the al-awwalun?
By learning back the Deen and the purpose of life with our hearts.
By understanding the Quran and as Sunnah, learning our glorious Seerah, seeking ilm’ from the people of knowledge, going to knowledge circles, (seminars, anything!) and then share the ilm to others. Lastly, the hardest of all, practicing that knowledge in our daily life (in its completeness like in the Quran and the Sunnah! not to only take the marriage and inheritance part and throw the rest away! ).
So that we may become people of value who can stand up on our own (with the highest of akhlaq to match!). Let us not be average Muslim.
I am reminding myself before anyone else.
